The week long break from blogging was unintentional. I'm not sure where the week actually went. It's a blur. I remember mostly rain. Almost constant rain causing children to spend more time indoors than they would like, tempers fraying, clotheshorses dotted throughout the house, some meals, some bedtime stories, footprints everywhere... This is the grass formerly known as our back lawn.

My creative space began to resemble creative chaos. Much like the rest of the house. Things were picked up, unpicked, put down, picked up again...
But in the breaks between downpours, we bundled up and got out of the house as much as we could. And we appreciated the fresh air all the more!
"Family life is a bit like a runny peach pie - not perfect but who's complaining?" ~Robert Brault,
It can be so hard stuck in doors for such a long time! Hope you have some sun soon. xx
ReplyDeleteKeep hoping for sun, but keep your water wings handy!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the rain, very frustrating with a cabin-feverish toddler!!
ReplyDeleteoh yes some weeks are just like that - actually lots of weeks are like that!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of that stitched rainbow amongst your crafty treasures - what is it you are working on?
I'm unsucessfuly trying to make a set of baby blocks, on calico with simple embroidered images from nature on each side. BUT they've come out much too big and very very squishy and lumpy and I've run out of polyfill and become frustrated with them. I'll get there but they're on the backburner for the time being xx
